This Holmes safety tower quarts heater is one of many home heat options to consider. It’s a small electric heater that can be used to warm up a room. The advantage to this type of heater is that you don’t have to heat the entire house or if you are the cold one, you can direct heat towards yourself and stay warm.
This heater is designed like a tower so that the heat can spread vertically across the room more evenly as opposed to the shorter heaters that don’t do this as well.
It does run quiet but can be hot to the touch while running so don’t come into contact with it.
This heater has a 4 hour timer on it so that it can automatically shut off after a set time. What it lacks though is a thermostat of any kind so it’s either on or off. If you are too warm, you will have to manually shut it off.
One problem with this heater is that it draws 1,500 watts of power. For what it does this seems like a little much. In most areas about 15 cents a kilowatt hour this heater will cost more than 22.5 cents per hour to run. If that’s an option for keep the home’s central heat off, that can be a good deal, but other heaters out there run more efficiently.
